Choosing a 3D printing filament

Check photo conversion

When converting the photos into a 3D print geometry, we make sure that dark areas are thicker than thin ones. If this is not the case, the photo may be printed as negative.

The right wall thickness with the 3D printing filament

We also recommend that the border of your photo is as dark as possible to ensure a consistent wall thickness when printed with the 3D printing filaments. We choose the wall thickness for the 3D model so that there are no holes or brittle 3D photos in the print preparation program. In addition, you should select a filling of 100% in the print preparation program to make sure that the 3D printer creates the contrasts of the image.

The right lighting

With the right lighting, either by daylight at the window or one suitable light source your image comes to the fore. LED lamps or LED strips are suitable for this. Depending on the 3D printing filament used and the wall thickness set, we take into account the brightness of the light source.
